IS POSTERIOR-ONLY RIGID FIXATION AN EFFICIENT OPTION FOR THE TREATMENT OF UNSTABLE LATERAL COMPRESSION PEDIATRIC PELVIC FRACTURES?

چکیده

Pediatric pelvic fractures (PPF) are rare injuries and usually resulted from high-energymechanisms. Unstable lateral compression may leave permanent deformity with asymmetry. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety efficacy rigid posterior fixation for treatmentof unstable in children.

The functional outcome of surgically treated unstable pelvic ring fractures by open reduction, internal fixation

Abstract Background: Unstable Pelvic fracture, a result of high energy antero-posterior compression injury, has been managed based on internal fixation and open reduction. The mode of fixation in Unstable Pelvic fracture has, however, been a subject of controversy and some authors have proposed a need to address the issue of partial breach of the pelvic ring elements in these injuries. This st...

Percutaneous iliosacral screw fixation in unstable pelvic fractures

Surgical treatment of unstable pelvic fractures Type C, has a vertical instability that is not controlled by traction and supine; therefore, orthopedic and functional treatments undertaken by default are sources of complications. The closed reduction with percutaneous sacroiliac fixation solves the problem of vertical instability; but at the cost of learning the method. Five patients with unsta...
